Malta’s National Culture Policy 2011 calls for the creation of a Centre of Architecture & the Built Environment.  It is in fact one of the main measures being implemented in the cultural infrastructural programme.  It is an area that V.18 is keen to embrace given the wide urbanisation of the entire Maltese Islands. The centre’s main remit would be to foster better understanding of our built heritage and to promote more sustainable development. It aims to raise awareness of the importance of good design and quality in our built environment from both an economic and environmental point of view.
